Soprano and composer Héloïse Werner performs her solo opera exploring language and identity, The Other Side Of The Sea, written in collaboration with poet Octavia Bright, visual artist Jessie Rodger and director Emily Burns. The concert also features The Hermes Experiment in a programme of works by Freya Waley-Cohen, Mira Calix, Stevie Wishart and Meredith Monk.

The Hermes Experiment perform new works by masters’ composition students from the Royal Academy of Music.
The Hermes Experiment are one of the Showcase Artists at the ClassicalNEXT conference 2019, Rotterdam
They will perform works by Emily Hall, Meredith Monk and Alex Mills as well as free improvisation during the Showcase Festival.

After their debut appearance at Cafe OTO in 2018, the award-winning contemporary quartet The Hermes Experiment return with an evening of music entirely improvised and devised by the ensemble. The event is a culmination of months of developing and honing new material, including residencies generously supported by Help Musicians UK, PRS for Music Foundation and Hinrichsen Foundation.
